Grier Jewell

Grier Jewell spent her early years in the Pacific Northwest making mud pies, swimming with the jellyfish and writing stories that made life feel more doable. She left the mud pies and jellyfish behind eventually, but not the stories. After years of working alongside people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to advocate for equal opportunities to learn, work and live, she earned her MFA in creative writing and found a way to blend her two loves: social justice and storytelling. She lives near Seattle with her dog, Popeye, imagining and creating a world where everyone belongs.
