Em Gilliam
Em Gilliam is a storyteller and illustrator with a strong inner-four-year-old and a pervasive sense of play. After attending Middlebury College in Vermont and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she spent a decade in the toy and game industry, creating tabletop games with licenses including Discovery, Scholastic, Sesame Street, and Warner Bros. Now she writes and illustrates picture books, which aren’t that different from games; both take you on fun-filled, colorful adventures.
Em grew up in Spokane, WA, and lives in Tucson, AZ with her husband, two dogs, a cat, and a baby desert tortoise named Tofu.
