Anne S. Bustard
Hawaii-born Anne Bustard holds an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, in addition to degrees from the University of Texas at Austin (BS, MLIS, PhD). She was named after Anne of Green Gables, and books have always been central to her life. A former elementary school teacher, co-owner of a children’s bookstore, and acclaimed university lecturer, Anne is the author of three nonfiction works for young readers, including the award-winning BUDDY: THE STORY OF BUDDY HOLLY (Simon & Schuster). Her debut middle-grade historical novel, ANYWHERE BUT PARADISE, was published by Egmont/Lerner. Her published books include the middle-grade novels BLUE SKIES and FAR OUT! (both Simon & Schuster) and a picture book about a fraidy cat, RAD! (Abrams). Anne divides her time between Austin, Texas, and Hamilton, Ontario.
