Alexandra Boiger
Alexandra Boiger was born in Munich, Germany, the youngest of seven children. Six girls and one boy—a perfect recipe for a vibrant and colorful childhood! After studying graphic design in Augsburg, she began her career in feature animation and eventually worked for DreamWorks Animation in the United States. With a deep passion for storytelling, she was always drawn to the world of illustration, particularly for picture books. Today, Alexandra is an award-winning, #1 New York Times bestselling illustrator, known for her work on numerous picture and chapter books as well as original stories, many of which have been translated into various languages. Notably, She Persisted, The Musical was adapted for the stage, and her work has been featured in exhibitions in the United States, Europe, and Japan.
She now resides in Northern California with her husband and daughter, along with a cat and a dog.
